Day 18

Eating at Martha's Country Bakery until 1 am. I am officially stuffed and sad to leave a great bunch. True friends are the ones that you can be comfortable around even after being away from each other for a long time. Though we rarely get to hang out, when we do it's always a joy to be around you guys. I <3 the Regulars.
Day 17
Thanksgiving + Grandma's Birthday= Ridiculously loud family gatherings.
I used to hate this woman with a passion, but now I adore her. She's done so much for me and my family, and has been through one heck of a life. I regret not treating her better while growing up, but it's better to start late than to not try at all. Thanks for protecting, providing, loving, and entertaining our crazy family; Happy 79th Birthday Grandma<3

Project 365: Day 1

Tonight our school held a screening of the movie Hiding, hosted by a non-profit organization, LiNK (Liberty in North Korea). Basically, the movie explores the stories of 5 North Korean refugees who have made their way to China. There are hundreds and thousands of people like them hiding in China right now because life was just too unbearable back home. Even if it means leaving family behind, the starvation, poverty, and lack of freedom have driven these refugees to embark on a dangerous journey. Once they make it to China, if caught by the police, a refugee will be sent back to North Korea with serious consequences. Can you imagine living everyday in fear? To think that you have to travel from North Korea to China, and then from China into another Southeast Asian country for just a chance to experience freedom.
Please pray for the refugees and LiNK.
